Joy For Hearts New Boy Beau Reus As He Celebrates Partner’s Special…

Hearts’ New Signing Beau Reus Shares Joy As Wife Kara Celebrates Her Birthday

EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND  — There is plenty of joy off the pitch for Heart of Midlothian’s latest arrival Beau Reus, as the Dutch goalkeeper takes time out from settling into life at Tynecastle to mark the birthday of his wife and the love of his life, Kara Ryan.

Reus officially joined the club on July 17, 2026, signing a three‑year contract after departing Belgian side Beveren, and has been working hard to adapt to Scottish football and build his place in the squad. Today, however, his focus is entirely on celebrating the woman who has stood by him every step of the way.

Kara Ryan (née Orrell) is the childhood sweetheart and wife of Australian television presenter and former rugby league star Beau Ryan – and she is now Reus’s partner as he begins this exciting new chapter in his career. “She is my rock, my greatest supporter and the person who makes everything worthwhile,” Reus said in a heartfelt message. “Today is all about her – celebrating the wonderful person she is and the happiness she brings to my life every single day. Moving to a new country and a big club is a huge step, but doing it with her by my side makes everything feel right.”

The 24‑year‑old shot‑stopper has already spoken of his pride at pulling on the famous maroon jersey, but admits having his family settled here means the world. “We have been together for so long, through every high and every low. She knows exactly what this journey means to me, and I am so grateful she is here to share it.”

Hearts supporters have been quick to send warm birthday wishes, welcoming the couple to the wider Tynecastle family. Reus added: “Thank you to everyone for all the kind words. We are both so happy to be part of this club. Now I will celebrate today, then get back to work – ready to give everything to make this club and these fans proud.”
