Dwight McNeil Transfer from Everton to West Ham United
West Ham United have emerged as strong suitors for Everton winger Dwight McNeil this summer, with reports outlining a range of potential terms and conditions around the move. As stated by West Ham Zone, the 26‑year‑old is now viewed as a key target, and a loan arrangement remains one possibility. ExWHUEmployee adds that the club could secure him relatively affordably, though any deal may depend on McNeil accepting a drop into the Championship.
McNeil’s contract runs until June 2027 per Transfermarkt, but it is also noted he will enter its final year next summer, opening scope for lower transfer costs. His weekly wage stands at £25,000, making him an attractive option for West Ham as they prioritise players with proven domestic experience. The club hopes to persuade him by offering a guaranteed starting berth, though formal contact with his representatives has not yet begun while they assess other winger options.
At Everton, McNeil has fallen out of favour under manager David Moyes. During the 25/26 Premier League campaign, he featured just 22 times and recorded one assist, playing fewer minutes than Iliman Ndiaye. A previous high‑profile move collapsed last winter: a £20 million loan‑to‑buy agreement with Crystal Palace failed on deadline day due to incomplete paperwork, a setback that disappointed Oliver Glasner, as Sky Sports highlighted back in February.
Transfermarkt currently values the former England U21 international at €18 million. He originally joined Everton in July 2022. For their part, Everton are open to letting him go—aiming to trim their wage bill and remain compliant with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules. McNeil’s own stance on moving divisions remains unknown, but West Ham’s interest presents a clear pathway to regular first‑team football should he agree to the switch.
