Roosters Secure Star Garrick on Three-Year Deal from 2027

The Sydney Roosters have announced the signing of prolific back Reuben Garrick on a three-year contract, set to commence in 2027. The deal marks a significant coup for the club, as they welcome one of the NRL’s most consistent performers to their ranks ahead of the upcoming decade.

Garrick will remain with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles throughout the 2026 season, with the Roosters affirming their respect for his ongoing commitment to his current club. “We are delighted to secure Reuben’s services from 2027,” said Roosters CEO Joe Kelly. “He is a proven match-winner, and his skill set aligns perfectly with our playing philosophy. We wish him all the very best for a successful 2026 campaign with Manly.”

Renowned for his versatility across the backline and exceptional goal-kicking accuracy, Garrick has established himself as one of the league’s premier point-scorers. Since making his NRL debut in 2019, he has claimed multiple Dally M nominations, including Winger of the Year honours, and has consistently ranked among the competition’s top try-scorers and point-scorers. His ability to perform under pressure in high-stakes matches has made him a highly sought-after talent.

Garrick expressed excitement about his future with the Roosters while reaffirming his dedication to Manly in 2026. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the Roosters from 2027, but my focus remains firmly on delivering for Manly this coming season,” he stated. “I have great respect for both clubs and look forward to embracing the new challenge ahead.”

Roosters head coach Trent Robinson praised Garrick’s professionalism and impact. “Reuben brings experience, consistency, and a winning mentality,” Robinson said. “His arrival will strengthen our backline and provide valuable leadership for our younger players.” Fans have welcomed the news, with optimism high about the team’s recruitment strategy as they build for sustained success beyond 2026.
