Moceidreke Set for Manly Move After Collapsed Collegians Deal
Manly Sea Eagles are poised to secure what many are hailing as their best signing of the season, with versatile Fijian international Sitiveni Moceidreke agreeing to a two-year deal following collapsed contract extension talks with Campbelltown Collegians.
Last playing in the NRL in 2017 with South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he featured in one first-grade match, Moceidreke had initially committed to returning to Collegians for 2026 after joining midway through last season. The club had welcomed him back in a statement, praising his “impact, experience, professionalism, and leadership” as key to nurturing young talent. However, negotiations broke down recently, prompting the utility to publicly declare his desire to join Manly.
A nine-time Fiji representative, Moceidreke has enjoyed a diverse career spanning rugby league and union. After departing the Rabbitohs, he spent two years with London Broncos, then played for rugby union’s Western Sydney Two Blues in the Shute Shield. He has also featured in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup, alongside stints with Mount Pritchard Mounties (NSW Cup), Sunshine Coast Falcons (QLD Cup), Melbourne Storm (NRL Nines), and St George Illawarra Dragons (NSW Cup)—the club where he began as a junior.
Capable of playing centre, fullback, and scrum-half, his versatility is seen as a major asset for Manly. The Sea Eagles have already expressed excitement at his arrival, with a spokesperson stating: “Welcome to Manly Sea Eagles, Siti — we’re excited to have you on board for two seasons.”
