DEPARTING SEA EAGLES CEO MESTROV SENDS OPTIMISTIC CHRISTMAS WISHES

As Christmas approaches and his tenure draws to a close, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov has issued a heartfelt festive message to members and fans, expressing gratitude while looking ahead with confidence.

“Saying goodbye is never easy, particularly to a Club and community that mean so much to me,” Mestrov said. He leaves knowing the club is in strong hands, with Jason King set to take over as CEO – a leader he describes as having the “leadership, integrity, and deep understanding” to guide Manly forward.

Despite the 2025 season falling short of a finals berth, Mestrov highlighted remarkable off-field achievements that have strengthened the club’s foundation. For the first time in history, memberships surpassed 20,000, with eight home games sold out at 4 Pines Park and 16 sell-outs from the last 22 matches. The club also saw significant digital growth, increased junior league participation, and made history as one of the first NRL teams to play in Las Vegas.

With pre-season training underway, Mestrov noted a “genuine sense of energy building” ahead of Manly’s 80th anniversary season in 2026 – a year he believes will be “one to remember.”

Reflecting on his three-year term, he said the privilege of working with “wonderful people” and witnessing 4 Pines Park come alive week after week would stay with him forever. “The foundations are strong, the pathway is clear, and belief within the Club is real,” he added. “I have no doubt the future holds great success for the mighty Sea Eagles.”

Mestrov concluded by wishing all members and fans a very Merry Christmas and safe festive season, thanking them for their “passion, loyalty, and unwavering support.”
