BRONCOS SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER THROUGH KIA FULL OF KINDNESS TOY DRIVE
Brisbane Broncos players and Kia Australia representatives bring joy to sick children and families across south east Queensland
Brisbane Broncos stars walked through the doors of Ronald McDonald House (RMH) wearing Santa hats and carrying armfuls of presents, and the room quickly filled with smiles, laughter and cheers from children and families. For many, the visit was a bright moment during what has been a challenging time – a highlight of their day, week or even month.
That’s the heart of the annual Kia Full of Kindness Toy Drive Delivery, which spreads Christmas joy by delivering donated toys to children and families across the region. It was Ben Hunt’s second visit to RMH, and he said seeing the impact first-hand never gets old.
“It really makes you realise how lucky you are to have two healthy kids at home,” Hunt said. “We try to make Christmas special for our own kids, so if we can come in and do that for some of these families too, it really is nice.”
Hunt was among several Kia representatives and Broncos players at RMH, alongside Jordan Riki, Corey Jensen and Braithen Scott. Meanwhile, Adam Reynolds, Jesse Arthars, Cory Paix, Jack Gosiewski, Billy Walters and Delouise Hoeter brought festive cheer to Brisbane Children’s Hospital, while NRLW player Romy Teitzel visited families on the Sunshine Coast.
Kia Australia’s Jol Hurst said the initiative was about showing genuine support for families when they need it most. “At this time of year, it’s tough to be based somewhere like Ronald McDonald House as families are here for a reason,” Hurst explained. “We want to be part of the community and the local fabric… that’s why the Broncos are so strong in Brisbane – their commitment to the community is second to none. It’s something we value highly at Kia Australia and something we’re proud to be involved in.”
