Everton Manager David Moyes Announces Passing of Beloved Aunt

Everton Football Club is in mourning this week as manager David Moyes has shared the sad news of his aunt, Agnes “Aggie” Campbell’s passing. Aggie, a cherished member of the Moyes family, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.

Moyes, visibly emotional during a press conference, spoke fondly of his aunt. “Aggie was more than just family; she was a constant source of support and love throughout my life,” he said. “Her infectious laughter and unwavering optimism brightened every room she entered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.”

Aggie was a lifelong Everton supporter and regularly attended matches at Goodison Park. Moyes often spoke of her passion for the club and how her presence in the stands motivated him and the team. “She was our lucky charm,” Moyes reminisced. “Knowing she was there, cheering us on, always gave us an extra boost.”

The club has released an official statement expressing their condolences to Moyes and his family. “Everyone at Everton is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Aggie Campbell,” the statement read. “Our thoughts and prayers are with David and his family during this difficult time. Aggie was a true Evertonian, and her passion for the club will never be forgotten.”

In light of the bereavement, Moyes will be taking a short leave of absence to be with his family. Assistant manager Alan Irvine will take charge of the team for the upcoming Premier League match against Manchester United. Moyes is expected to return to his managerial duties next week.

The funeral service for Aggie Campbell will be held on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Church in Prescot. The family has requested that donations be made to a local charity in lieu of flowers.

The Everton community stands united in grief with David Moyes and his family, offering their unwavering support during this time of profound loss. Aggie Campbell’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
