Michael Redd Returns to Milwaukee Bucks as Senior Coaching Staff Member

Milwaukee, WI – The Milwaukee Bucks have announced the appointment of former player Michael Redd to their senior coaching staff. Redd, a beloved figure in Bucks history, brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the franchise.

Redd’s achievements with the Milwaukee Bucks are significant. He was named an NBA All-Star in 2004 and earned All-NBA Third Team honors in the same year. His scoring prowess is etched in Bucks’ lore, holding the franchise record with 57 points in a 2006 game. In 2002, he set an NBA record for three-pointers made in a quarter with eight, showcasing his exceptional shooting ability. Despite facing career-altering ACL injuries, Redd finished with the fourth-most points in franchise history, solidifying his place as a Bucks legend.

“We are thrilled to welcome Michael back to Milwaukee,” said Head Coach Doc Rivers. “His knowledge of the game, his work ethic, and his passion for the Bucks make him an invaluable addition to our coaching staff. He will be a tremendous asset to our players, both on and off the court.”

In his new role, Redd will work closely with the Bucks’ players, focusing on player development, shooting techniques, and offensive strategies. His experience as a high-scoring guard in the NBA will provide unique insights and guidance to the team’s current roster.

Redd expressed his excitement about returning to the Bucks organization. “Milwaukee is like a second home to me,” he said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to contribute to the team in this new capacity. I look forward to working with the players and helping them reach their full potential.”

The addition of Michael Redd to the coaching staff is expected to bring a positive impact to the Milwaukee Bucks, as they aim to build on their recent success and compete for future championships.
