Tennessee Football Extends Offer to Four-Star Running Back Terrance Grant Jr.

In a strategic move towards solidifying their 2027 football roster, the University of Tennessee has extended a scholarship offer to Terrance Grant Jr., a highly-regarded four-star running back prospect. The announcement was made by Grant Jr. himself, who expressed his gratitude and excitement, stating, “Beyond blessed and grateful. University of Tennessee offered!”

Grant Jr., standing at 6-foot and weighing 200 pounds, hails from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, a school renowned for producing top-tier football talent. Notably, Bishop Gorman is also the alma mater of former Volunteers’ wide receiver Cedric Tillman, adding a layer of familiarity and connection to the Tennessee program.

According to On3, a prominent recruiting service, Grant Jr. is ranked as the No. 23 running back in the 2027 class and the No. 4 overall player in the state of Nevada. His impressive combination of size, speed, and agility has made him a coveted prospect among college football programs nationwide.

The University of Hawaii was the first institution to recognize Grant Jr.’s potential, extending a scholarship offer on April 17, 2024. Since then, a flurry of Power Four schools have joined the pursuit, including Utah, Penn State, BYU, Michigan State, Arizona, Texas A&M, California, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Washington, Wisconsin, Miami, Colorado, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Oregon, and Georgia.

The Tennessee Volunteers, under the guidance of their coaching staff, are eager to add Grant Jr.’s talent to their backfield. The competition for his commitment will be fierce, given the extensive list of prestigious programs vying for his services.
