An LSU legend will replace T-Bob Hebert on popular Louisiana sports radio show
Matt Flynn is returning to Baton Rouge radio. The 2007 national champion is replacing T-Bob Hebert at 104.5 ESPN on the popular “Off the Bench” show alongside former LSU teammate Jacob Hester.
Hebert accepted a new position with Barstool Sports in Chicago. His final “Off the Bench” show was on Friday.
Hester and Flynn played together with the Tigers from 2004-07. Flynn played in the NFL from 2008-14, and Hester played in the league from 2008-12.
“Back at LSU, Flynn called the plays and I did the heavy lifting,” Hester said, according to Louisiana Sports. “Nothing has changed, except now it’s on live radio. Honestly, I just needed someone to blame when things go off the rails,” he joked. “And who better than my good friend and old signal caller? I’m fired up for all the chaotic energy and pro-level sports takes we’re about to unleash on your morning commute.”
The first Hester-Flynn show will go live on June 2.
Hebert is the son of former New Orleans Saints quarterback and Louisiana sports radio personality Bobby Hebert. T-Bob himself played center at LSU from 2007-11 before signing a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams in 2012. After participating in the Rams’ training camp, he joined the media industry.
