Mark Pope Announces Return of Father/Son and Father/Daughter Basketball Camps

 

LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky men’s basketball head coach Mark Pope has announced the return of the popular Father/Son and Father/Daughter basketball camps. Presented by White, Greer, and Maggard Orthodontics, these camps offer a unique opportunity for fathers and their children to bond over their shared love of basketball while experiencing the UK campus.

 

Both camps will be held on the University of Kentucky campus, utilizing the state-of-the-art facilities of the Joe Craft Center and the historic Memorial Coliseum. The Father/Son Camp is scheduled for June 7th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while the Father/Daughter Camp will follow on June 8th, during the same hours. Registration for both camps opens immediately and will be accepted until capacity is reached. Online registration is strongly encouraged.

 

Camp Details:

 

Father/Son Camp (June 7th):

 

– Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

– Registration: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. in the Joe Craft Center lobby.

– Location: Joe Craft Center and Historic Memorial Coliseum.

– Participants: Boys aged 7-17 and their fathers.

– Cost: $265 per father/son duo; $125 for each additional son.

 

Father/Daughter Camp (June 8th):

 

– Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

– Registration: 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. in the Joe Craft Center lobby.

– Location: Joe Craft Center and Historic Memorial Coliseum.

– Participants: Girls aged 7-17 and their fathers.

– Cost: $265 per father/daughter duo; $125 for each additional daughter.

 

The camps promise a fun and safe environment for all participants. Certified athletic trainers will be present throughout the duration of both camps, alongside UK basketball staff members who will be available to answer any questions. Participants will have the opportunity to utilize UK’s top-notch facilities and gain a memorable Kentucky basketball experience.

 

Following registration, participants will receive a confirmation email outlining necessary documents (physicals, insurance information) and a list of required items to bring to camp.
