
LSU’s Aneesah Morrow Wins Prestigious Katrina McClain Award
LSU women’s basketball star Aneesah Morrow has been awarded the prestigious Katrina McClain Award, recognizing her as the nation’s top power forward. Morrow, a dominant force throughout her college career, capped off her impressive journey with this significant accolade.

Morrow’s final season at LSU was nothing short of exceptional. She led the Tigers in scoring (18.7 points per game) and secured the national lead in rebounding (13.5 rebounds per game). Her remarkable 485 rebounds rank as the fourth most in a single season in LSU history. She also dominated with 30 double-doubles, the second-highest total ever recorded by an LSU player.
Morrow’s consistent excellence is evident in her impressive statistics. She achieved 20+ points in 17 games and 15+ rebounds in 14 games. Her nine 20/15 games and four 20-rebound games, including two 20-point, 20-rebound performances, demonstrate her exceptional dominance on the court.
Over her two seasons at LSU, Morrow helped the Tigers reach two Elite Eights, winning 31 games in each season. She amassed an impressive 1,282 points and 854 rebounds, ranking tenth all-time in LSU history for total rebounds. She also recorded 52 double-doubles, the third most in program history. Her consistent performance earned her two First Team All-SEC selections.
Morrow’s collegiate career, spanning four seasons (two at DePaul and two at LSU), is marked by exceptional statistical achievements. She finished with 2,852 points and 1,714 rebounds, ranking third and 25th all-time in NCAA Division I history, respectively. Her 104 career double-doubles are the second most in NCAA Division I history, and she is one of only eight players with over 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds.
