More and more Wisconsin women’s basketball players jump in the portal
The Wisconsin women’s basketball team took a handful of hits this week as more players jumped in the portal. The Badgers had three more decide to leave Wisconsin today to add to others that have already left. It’s all in response to the resignation of Marisa Moseley and the program’s inability to be successful.

Ronnie Porter, D’Yanis Jimenez, and Tessa Grady are the three players that now are in the portal
There are now six total Wisconsin women’s basketball players in the portal: Serah Williams, Carter McCray, Tessa Grady, Gracie Grzesk, Ronnie Porter, and D’Yanis Jimenez. This includes the three players who have graduated: Natalie Leuzinger, Tess Myers, and Halle Douglass. It’s now easier to count the players on the roster than the ones who are no longer. They all seem to hurt in a unique way, but having some of the stars like Williams leave is hard to watch.
We’ve even seen another coach leave after Marisa Moseley’s resignation, Jamie Gluesing. It’s been a couple of weeks full of transition, and until the Wisconsin athletics department hires a new coach, it will probably continue. The anticipation is that the new coach will need to do a full rebuild.
There has been no news from the Wisconsin AD about the head coach search, which could easily be explained as many of their targets are still in the postseason. There are plenty of rumors swirling, and some great coaches could be poached for the right price in the NCAA Tournament. The coaching search will surely pick up in the next couple of weeks. Until then, Wisconsin fans will have to watch players leave, and the cupboards look more and more bare.
The only leak about the coaching process so far is that Carly Thibault-DuDonis turned down an interview request and wanted to remain at Fairfield or at least wait for a different opportunity.
