Wisconsin Badgers Women’s Basketball Names Carly Thibault-DuDonis Head Coach

 

MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin announced today that Carly Thibault-DuDonis has been named the new head coach of the Badgers women’s basketball team. The appointment concludes a comprehensive national search following the departure of former head coach Marisa Moseley. Thibault-DuDonis brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to Madison.

 

“We are thrilled to welcome Carly to the Wisconsin Badgers family,” said Director of Athletics Chris McIntosh. “Her passion for the game, commitment to player development, and proven ability to build winning programs made her the ideal candidate for this position. Thibault-DuDonis, whose coaching career has spanned various levels, most recently served as an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut, contributing significantly to the Huskies’ continued success. Prior to her time at UConn, she held assistant coaching positions at other prominent programs, gaining valuable experience and honing her coaching philosophy.

 

Her coaching style emphasizes a player-centric approach, focusing on individual development and fostering a positive team environment. She’s known for her ability to connect with players, build strong relationships, and inspire them to reach their full potential both on and off the court. Her recruiting prowess is also highly regarded, with a proven ability to attract top talent.
