The 6-foot-2, 165-pound Criss picked BYU over offers from Texas State, Bowling Green, Southern Utah, and other FCS programs.
BYU got into the mix for Criss earlier this month and immediately scheduled an official visit. Criss was on the front row of BYU’s student section, “The ROC,” during Saturday’s men’s basketball game against Cincinnati.
Criss wrote on X on Sunday, “IM HOME,” when announcing his commitment to BYU.
Jordyn Criss fits the profile of cornerbacks who have thrived at BYU over the past decade. He’s got good measurables and a track and field background. Criss ran 10.83 100 meters last April.
Lone Peak High’s Landan Goff commits to BYU Football
Landan Goff committed to BYU over reported offers from Navy, Idaho State, and Utah Tech.
Goff wrote on X, “After my official visit this weekend I’m excited to announce my commitment to [BYU football]. Thank you [Kalani Sitake] and [Jay Hill]. Let’s go win a national championship!!”
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect was a First-Team All-State selection by the Deseret News for 6A.
Goff finished with 55 tackles and seven interceptions this past season for a Lone Peak High squad that played in the State Championship game last November.
BYU football is up to 22 commitments in the class of 2025. They signed 18 of those players in December; the rest can sign in February.
The Cougars had Junior Day for some of their top prospects in the 2026 class and hosted official visitors from the 2025 class for a final push before Signing Day on February 5.
