Zion Grady, 6-4, 230 DL/OLB from Enterprise (AL), Commits to Ohio State Over Texas, Kentucky, and Alabama

Zion Grady, a highly sought-after defensive lineman/outside linebacker from Enterprise, Alabama, has committed to play football at Ohio State University, choosing the Buckeyes over offers from Texas, Kentucky, and Alabama.

Grady, a versatile 6-foot-4, 230-pound athlete, has been a standout at Enterprise High School, where he excelled as both a pass rusher and a run stopper. His combination of size, athleticism, and football IQ made him one of the top defensive recruits in the 2025 class. Over the past two seasons, Grady has accumulated impressive stats, including over 15 sacks, showcasing his ability to disrupt opposing offenses.

The decision to commit to Ohio State comes after months of recruitment and visits to multiple campuses. Grady’s recruitment heated up during his junior season, with several major programs vying for his commitment. Ultimately, the Buckeyes’ strong football program, elite coaching staff, and recent success on the defensive side of the ball swayed his decision.

“I felt at home with the coaches at Ohio State,” Grady said. “The defense they run fits my skill set, and I know I can develop under Coach [Larry] Johnson. I believe in the program and the culture they’ve built there.”

Ohio State has been a consistent powerhouse in college football, and Grady’s decision to join their defense gives them another potential game-changer. With a focus on developing players into top-tier NFL prospects, the Buckeyes are hoping Grady will follow in the footsteps of past standout defensive players.

While Grady considered offers from programs like Texas, Kentucky, and Alabama, the chance to be part of a championship-caliber program in Ohio State ultimately proved too appealing. His commitment adds another elite talent to Ohio State’s already stellar recruiting class for 2025.
