Mark Simoneau Returns to Kansas State as New Offensive Coordinator, Bringing Legendary Leadership to Wildcats

MANHATTAN, KS – Mark Simoneau, former Kansas State football star, is returning to his alma mater as the Wildcats’ new offensive coordinator, a move that has stirred excitement among fans and the university community. Simoneau, who enjoyed a successful playing career with the Wildcats, is set to bring a wealth of experience and a dynamic leadership style to the program.

A standout linebacker at Kansas State in the late 1990s, Simoneau was a key figure in the Wildcats’ rise under legendary head coach Bill Snyder. After a successful college career, he went on to play in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles, further cementing his reputation as a leader and hard-nosed competitor.

Simoneau’s return marks a new chapter for Kansas State’s football program. With a reputation for his strategic mind, work ethic, and understanding of the game, he is poised to revitalize the Wildcats’ offense, which has struggled in recent seasons. Head coach Chris Klieman praised Simoneau’s deep ties to Kansas State, emphasizing how his leadership on and off the field will inspire both players and staff.

“Mark knows the culture of Kansas State football better than anyone, and his passion for the game and the Wildcats is unmatched,” Klieman said. “His experience at the highest level of football, both as a player and a coach, will be invaluable as we work to elevate our offense.”

Simoneau expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating, “Kansas State gave me so much during my time here, and I’m honored to return and give back to the program that shaped me. I’m ready to bring a new energy and approach to our offense, and help our student-athletes reach their full potential.”

With Simoneau’s leadership, Kansas State fans are hopeful that the Wildcats will embark on a new era of offensive success.
