Liam Gallagher Announces Retirement Plans for 2027

Liam Gallagher, the iconic frontman of Oasis and celebrated solo artist, has shocked fans by announcing his plans to retire from music in 2027. In a candid interview with *NME*, the 51-year-old singer revealed that the year would mark the end of his career in the music industry, citing a desire to “go out on top” and spend more time with his family.

Gallagher, known for his bold personality and electric stage presence, has been a defining figure in rock for over three decades. His career began with Oasis in the early ’90s, whose groundbreaking albums like *(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?* and *Definitely Maybe* made him a household name. After Oasis disbanded in 2009 following a public feud with his brother Noel, Gallagher launched a successful solo career with albums such as *As You Were* (2017) and *Why Me? Why Not?* (2019).

In the interview, Liam explained that although he is still passionate about making music, the time has come to step back. “I’m not getting any younger, and I want to go out in my prime,” he said. “I’ll keep doing my thing for a few more years, but 2027 will be the last tour, the last album, everything.”

Gallagher’s announcement has already sparked an outpouring of support from fans and fellow musicians. His influence on the Britpop era and the wider rock scene is undeniable, and his potential retirement marks the end of an era in British music.

The 2027 farewell tour is expected to be a highly anticipated event, with fans eager to see Gallagher’s final performances. As for his post-retirement plans, Liam hinted he might pursue other creative ventures, including possibly “writing a book” and focusing more on his family life.
