Boston College Eagles quarterback Thomas Castellanos shared heartbreaking news regarding his father, who has been diagnosed with a serious illness. In an emotional statement released on social media, Castellanos revealed that his father is battling cancer, prompting the young athlete to take a step back from football to focus on family during this challenging time.

Castellanos, who has been a standout player for the Eagles this season, expressed his deep love and admiration for his father, highlighting the profound impact he has had on his life and career. “My dad has always been my biggest supporter, teaching me the values of hard work and resilience,” Castellanos wrote. “Right now, my priority is to be there for him and my family.”

Head coach  Bill O’Brin emphasized the importance of family in times like these. “We stand with Thomas and his family,”  Bill O’Brien said. “Football is important, but family is everything. We’re here for him, no matter what he needs.”
