**Norfolk State’s Starting QB Otto Kuhns Suspended for Five Games**
Norfolk State University has announced that starting quarterback Otto Kuhns has been suspended for the next five games due to a violation of team rules. The suspension will see Kuhns sidelined for the Spartans’ upcoming matchups against Hampton and Delaware State.
Kuhns, a junior who has been a pivotal player for the Spartans, has led the team with impressive stats this season, including 1,200 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. His absence is expected to significantly impact Norfolk State’s offensive strategy.
Head Coach Dawson Odums expressed disappointment over the situation, emphasizing that team discipline remains a top priority. “We hold our players to high standards both on and off the field. Otto understands the seriousness of his actions, and we are confident he will learn from this experience,” Dawson Odums stated in a press release.
In Kuhns’ absence, backup quarterback Marcus Green will take the reins. Green has shown promise in his limited appearances this season and will need to step up to ensure the Spartans remain competitive in the MEAC.
