Caitlin Clark’s Boyfriend Posts First Photo of Fever Guard on Vacation

No one deserves a rest from basketball more than Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark. After breaking the rookie assist record (10) during the WNBA All-Star game on July 20, Clark was thrilled to go on her first vacation in over a year.

Clark, who was not selected to represent Team USA’s women’s national team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has nearly a month off before the Fever’s next matchup. Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, who wrapped up his first year working as an assistant for the Indiana Pacers, also just broke for vacation.

Clark and McCaffery, who celebrated their one year anniversary in April, jetted off to Mexico with fellow Fever guard Lexie Hull, and her boyfriend of over four years, Will Mathiessen.

On July 24, McCaffery shared the first photo of the WNBA’s Rookie of Year candidate enjoying her time off away from the court.

While Clark didn’t tell reporters where she was going during the Olympic break, Hull spoke to The Spokesman-Review about their double-date vacation plans.

“She’s a great person and a great player. It’s fun to get to know her outside of the court, outside of basketball,” Hull said of the Iowa alum. “She’s actually coming to Mexico with me. It’ll be a fun getaway for us.”

Hull, the Fever’s No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, applauded the seismic shift the franchise has experienced since Clark joined the team.

“It’s just really exciting, everything about it. Playing in sold-out arenas pretty much every game, it’s really cool,” Hull said. “It’s really cool for the sport and for our team. We’re a pretty young team that’s building, so to build and grow in an environment like that is really special.”
