John Force Moved To Neuro ICU As Family Release Sad Message To Fans
A recent high-speed incident involving legendary drag racer John Force has the motorsports world in shock. John Force was involved in a terrifying accident during the first round of eliminations at Virginia Motorsport Park. Force was forced to lose control of his Chevy Camaro Funny Car when its engine suddenly exploded while he was over 300 mph in the finish line. The vehicle swerved across the centerline, slamming into both guard walls, and eventually stopped.
Force was able to stay conscious and communicate with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) medical team that was on the scene immediately after the crash. After that, he was taken to a nearby hospital, where his team confirmed he was initially admitted to the trauma intensive care unit and then transferred to the neuro intensive care unit for specialized care related to head injuries.
The update states, “Drag racing champion John Force has moved from the trauma intensive care unit to the neuro intensive care unit, where the medical team can focus on his head injury which is their primary concern, four days after his crash at more than 300 miles per hour.”
“His family members, who have been regularly present at the hospital all week, welcomed the change.
“Brittany Force, who would have driven the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet Top Fuel dragster, is not planning to compete this week at the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio, with the unanimity of her family, team, and sponsors.” As a show of support for her father, she will instead stay at the hospital with her family.
“Austin Prock’s AAA Chevrolet Camaro SS team will proudly carry the torch for the entire John Force Racing organization and sponsors this weekend. Austin competes with the same fearless, fighting spirit that John has embodied and instilled in his teams over the years.”
“The Force family is appreciative of the group of medical experts attending to John as well as the countless kind words of support, care, and prayer that have been sent. We appreciate your continued observance of the family’s and the John Force Racing team members’ privacy.”
Since the incident, the Force family has remained rooted at the hospital and demonstrated incredible solidarity. Brittany Force, John’s daughter, has decided to stay with her father instead of competing in the upcoming Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio. She declares that she has unwavering faith in her father’s tenacity:
