Ryan Preece linked to new team in the NASCAR Cup Series for 2025

One of the six Stewart-Haas Racing drivers who will need to find a new NASCAR home for the 2025 season is Ryan Preece. After a lengthy and fruitful journey, Stewart-Haas Racing announced in May that it would close its doors following the 2024 NASCAR season. But where might Preece wind up now that he’s no longer in the picture for the No. 41 Cup?

Preece, who previously competed in two races for Rick Ware Racing in 2022, was brought up by FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass during his discussion of the team’s circumstances for the 2025 NASCAR season. The driver for Stewart-Haas Racing may join Justin Haley in this scenario, given how Rick Ware Racing has progressed during the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Due to their lack of speed, Preece landing at Rick Ware Racing would have been a below-average circumstance in the past, but the team has evolved into one of NASCAR’s most underappreciated ones. Preece may have an excellent opportunity to develop with Haley at Rick Ware Racing in 2025 if he can secure some sponsorship for the No. 15 Cup car.
