MotoGP Medical Director Dr. Angel Charte provided DAZN with an update on Bagnaia’s condition, saying, “Pecco has had severe polytrauma; a motorbike ran over him in the femoral and tibial area.
“We have taken x-rays of this area and found a small injury, the age of which we are unsure.
“We have sent him to the general hospital because we need to do an urgent CAT scan.
He has consistently shown no abnormalities at the cranial, thoracic, or abdominal levels. He was alert and focused.
Since this image is from conventional radiology, it is challenging to confirm that there isn’t a fracture. A CAT scan must be performed.
Bagnaia posted a photo of himself yesterday, showing himself sitting on a bed and giving a thumbs up.
“Today I can only say thanks,” was his caption.
The Moto GP star was showered with compliments.
“Forzaaaa,” wrote Fabio Quartararo.
“Now we have doubts that you have the bones of Adamantio like Wolverine,” remarked Luca Salvadori.
In response, Moto GP stated: “I’m so happy to hear that Pecco is doing somewhat better! Champ, get well soon!”
