Haiden Deegan Signs Multi-Year Deal with Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha

When Haiden Deegan announced he was leaving KTM after eight seasons, as we hinted at over the weekend, the assumption was he was joining the formidable Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha team.

The team announced a multi-year deal with the rising amateur prospect today, so that became official.

In a press release, Deegan stated, “I’m excited to ride with champions and learn from them at Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing.” “I have a lot of work ahead of me and I feel good on the bike,” the cyclist said.

With his wildly successful Vlog and social media accounts, Deegan—son of former Supercross and FMX star and co-founder of the Metal Mulisha—has risen to prominence in the amateur ranks.

Deegan has dominated the track at Loretta’s the past three years, winning four titles total, including the Supermini 1 championship in 2021. During his time riding the mini-bikes at the Ranch, he has won five titles.

Deegan moved up to the 250F after Loretta’s this year, and he was spotted riding the 250 KTM before declaring last week that he was leaving the Austrian company.

Manager of the Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing 450 team is Jeremy Coker.

“Having a rider of Haiden’s caliber join our team makes us very happy. He is a strong contender for a championship and exudes charisma both on and off the track. We’re excited for the new season and hope to bring home more first-place medals!
