Barnet reject Swindon approach for boss Brennan

Swindon Town, a team in League Two, made an approach for head coach Dean Brennan, but Barnet has reportedly turned it down.

Prior to the bees’ 4-0 loss to Solihull Moors in the play-off semifinals, Brennan led them to second place in the National League.

Gavin Gunning has been Swindon’s interim manager since Michael Flynn left in January. Swindon is currently searching for a new manager to replace Flynn.

A Barnet statement said, “Earlier this week, Barnet FC informed Dean Brennan that they had received an approach from Swindon Town requesting permission to speak with him.”

“Dean wants supporters to know that he is still fully committed to helping Barnet FC achieve its promotion to the EFL, and a lot of work has already been done to improve the team for the upcoming season.

“The club and Dean are eager for the upcoming season.”
