U.S. MEN’S BEACH SOCCER NATIONAL TEAM HEAD COACH FRANCIS FARBEROFF SELECTS 12-PLAYER ROSTER FOR MARANHÃO INTERNATIONAL CUP IN BRAZIL

In the final camp, the Beach MNT will play Brazil, United Arab Emirates, and Morocco before choosing the 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup roster.

January 4, 2024, Chicago, Illinois – Francis Farberoff, the head coach of the U.S. Men’s Beach Soccer National Team, has chosen 12 players for the team’s January training camp, which will take place in Saõ Luis, Brazil, from January 7–17. The players will also compete in the 2024 Maranhão International Cup, where they will face Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, who are ranked No. 1 and No. 8 in the world, respectively.

The camp will serve as the No. 13-ranked USBMNT’s last training session before Farberoff chooses the team that will represent the United States at the 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from February 15–25. This is in line with U.S. Soccer’s mission to develop winning teams.

Francis Farberoff, the head coach of the United States Men’s Beach Soccer National Team, stated, “This is going to be a great tune up for us as we prepare for the World Cup.” Just one month before we leave for Dubai, the players will put their skills to the test in the Maranhão International Cup, a World Cup-caliber competition. This will help us decide on the final roster.
