12-year-old reported missing in West Baton Rouge Parish found safe

WAFB, BRUSLY, LA – In West Baton Rouge Parish, a 12-year-old who was reported missing has been found safe.
Elijah Morris was found on Thursday morning in good health, according to officials.
On behalf of the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, LSP first issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory for the missing child.
Morris was last seen, according to the State Police, at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1.
Morris reportedly left his book bag at home and headed off in an unidentified direction, according to law enforcement.
Morris was said to have brown eyes and black hair. He weighs roughly 100 pounds and stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall.
According to reports, he was last seen with khaki pants and a red collared shirt that read “Brusly Middle School.”
