In anticipation of a possible departure from Ligue 1 during the summer transfer window, clubs in the Premier League and the Bundesliga are reportedly showing interest in Lille’s Jonathan David, 24. The striker for the Canadian national team wants to leave Stade Pierre Mauroy and is prepared for “everything.”
Interestingly, the 24-year-old is excited about Premier League clubs’ interest in him. Teams outside of the Premier League and Bundesliga are also interested in signing David. According to La Voix du Nord, Atletico Madrid may have shown the greatest interest in the striker by reaching out to him to convey their desire. He is seen by La Liga as a possible addition to their offensive line.
In 2020, David joined Les Dogues from Gent, a Jupiler Pro League team. The former Gent striker scored 19 goals in 34 appearances last season in Ligue1, despite having a slow start to the campaign.
