Watch: NBA preseason opener: Drew Timme sinks game-winning shot for Milwaukee Bucks Timme’s NBA debut helps the Bucks defeat the Bulls, 105-102.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Kris Middleton were absent from the Milwaukee Bucks’ opening NBA preseason game against the Chicago Bulls. Down the stretch, Drew Timme saved the day without their all-stars.
In his NBA debut, the former Gonzaga men’s basketball All-American played just one game and for fewer than four minutes, but it couldn’t have come at a more crucial time.
Timme converted a smooth floater from five feet out to make up for Marjon Beauchamp’s missed basket with 34.4 seconds remaining in the game, tying the score 99-99. With 29.1 seconds remaining, the Bucks led by two points.
The Bulls were forced to foul Beauchamp, who made two free throws to put the score at 103-99. The Bulls were unable to answer.
