On Thursday, the LA Lakers will get their second and last opportunity to face the Boston Celtics this season. On Christmas Day, LA’s first meeting at Crypto.com Arena ended in a 126-115 loss. At TD Garden, site of the NBA’s greatest home record (22-2), the Celtics will attempt to even the season series.
Boston has won two straight after dropping its first two home games against the Denver Nuggets and LA Clippers. In tight contests on Monday against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Indiana Pacers less than a day later, the Celtics emerged victorious. Boston will be fired up for the rematch with their storied foes in order to win the season series.
LeBron James, following Tuesday’s 138-122 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, advised his teammates to “just do your job.” Rebounding and playing with greater vigor and effort will be the first things on that list. They’ll have to take that chance or lose to their opponents once more.

Gabe Vincent (left knee surgery) and Cam Reddish (right injured ankle) will not be playing. LeBron James (left ankle) and Anthony Davis (hip and Achilles) are both out of the game today. Against the Hawks, on the second night of a back-to-back set, AD did not play.
The only player included on the Boston Celtics’ injury report is Tatum who has been battling a hamstring strain. Prior to the meeting with LA, he was upgraded to doubtful.
When will Cam Reddish, Gabe Vincent, and Anthony Davis return for the LA Lakers?
In the game against the LA Clippers on January 23, Cam Reddish injured his right ankle. When LA plays its home game against Boston on Thursday, he will miss it for the sixth straight game. A day after he sustained the injury, the Lakers declared that he will have another assessment in two weeks. As soon as it occurs, they probably will provide an update.
Late in December of last year, Gabe Vincent underwent surgery on his left knee. It is anticipated that the former guard for the Miami Heat would miss eight weeks. He won’t be able to work until the end of February at the most. Similar to Reddish, the Lakers will probably provide an update as soon as Vincent is prepared to play.
Anthony Davis was not involved.
Luke Kornet’s comeback date for the Boston Celtics is not yet known.
Due to a hamstring ailment, Luka Kornet did not play in the Celtics’ two prior games before their game against the Lakers. Although he has been upgraded to doubtful, it is not anticipated that he will play in the game.
