When the Warriors star retires, Podziemski wants to be Steph’s replacement.

Sunday evening’s game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski is already planning a lengthy career with Golden State in his debut season.

Unfortunately, some of it probably has to do with a time when Podziemski won’t have Steph Curry, a future inductee into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, as a teammate.

Following his impressive performance of three points, four assists, and two rebounds in Friday’s 2024 NBA Rising Stars Game, Podziemski spoke with media and graciously shared his thoughts on how he would respond to Curry’s inevitable departure.

With Klay Thompson potentially leaving the team at the end of the season, along with other players whose futures are uncertain on the roster and coach Steve Kerr, who is about to enter his final year of contract, the Golden State Warriors seem to be approaching the end of their championship core cycle.

The Warriors actually seem to want to stay competitive and take advantage of Steph Curry’s next few years at a top level despite everything. There are even reports that they may try to sign Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, dubbed the “Greek Freak,” as soon as possible.

The ‘ideal scenario’ for the Golden State Warriors would be Giannis joining them in the summer, according to information from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Greek player just agreed to a three-year, $186 million contract deal with the Bucks in October 2023, with the option to opt out until the 2025–2026 season, so the Warriors would have difficulty with this.

This would suggest that in order for the Warriors to get Antetokounmpo, they would need to work out a deal with Milwaukee.

Is the Greek Freak a murderer of coaches?
