In an attempt to reunite with LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels, whom he coached from 2019 to 2021 at Arizona State University, Antonio Pierce, the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, is reportedly doing everything within his power to move up in the 2024 NFL Draft. Pierce will be replacing Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Raiders presently own the 13th selection in the upcoming draft, which Pierce, 45, is holding. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that he wants to advance to at least fourth, which may require mortgaging the franchise’s future.

On Saturday’s SportsCenter program, Fowler stated, “Jayden Daniels out of LSU is a name to watch, as I’ve talked to a few teams who have pointed out Antonio Pierce, who was with him at ASU back in the day, loves him.” He attended LSU, of course, won the Heisman, and may be selected in the top three. Raiders choose 13th overall, thus obtaining him would require a significant leap, but it is still a possibility.”

Though wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is also a highly sought-after talent, the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner is presently predicted to go third in the draft, only after Caleb Williams and Drake Maye.

According to several sources, Jimmy Garoppolo will serve a two-game suspension for breaking the performance-enhancing substance policy.

As anticipated, the Raiders will release Garoppolo. The Raiders plan to dismiss Garoppolo, 32, who was given a two-game ban on Friday for breaking the league’s PED policy.
