The playoff games for college football have begun, and with them comes a long list of player opt-outs ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft. Since the window’s formal opening last week, the transfer portal has expedited the procedure for a number of other users as well. Bryce Young and Will Anderson Jr., two of the most prominent players who haven’t made up their minds yet, must make a decision before Alabama plays Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl.

Jalin Hyatt, the winner of the Biletnikoff award, stated on Wednesday that he had played his final game for the Vols, joining Tennessee’s Cedric Tillman in missing the Orange Bowl. This season, Hyatt was the co-star with quarterback Hendon Hooker for Tennessee’s top-ranked offense. He led all Power 5 wide receivers in yards gained, tied for the most touchdown catches in the FBS, and finished fourth nationally in receiving. In terms of receptions (67), receiving yards (1,267), and touchdowns (15), he topped the SEC. In just eight games, Hyatt broke the record for most touchdowns in a Tennessee single-season, which had stood since 1997 (Marcus Nash caught 13). He will also fall just 31 yards shy of Robert Meachem’s 2006 record for most receiving yards.

Although it’s not official yet, Horns247 is claiming that senior linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, junior running back Bijan Robinson, and senior running back Roschon Johnson have all decided not to play in the Longhorns’ upcoming game against Washington at the Alamo. According to Horns247’s Chip Brown, “the Longhorns began bowl practices on Friday without Robinson, Johnson and Overshown as well as 10 players who have either announced their intentions to transfer or have entered the transfer portal, including backup quarterback Hudson Card, the source said.”
