Strength Coach for Georgia Football Is Out of the Team

Scott Cochran, the strength and conditioning coach for the Georgia Bulldogs, is reportedly no longer with the group.

The special teams coordinator, Scott Cochran of the Georgia Bulldogs, is one of the more crucial members of a football team. As originally reported by UGAsports.com, Scott Cochran has left the team due to a personal situation, which Dawgs Daily has confirmed.

Although Cochran has known Kirby Smart for a very long time, the 2020 season was the first time he was brought to Athens when Cochran was appointed special teams coordinator. His prior coaching trainee was us, who spent 13 seasons as the Alabama Crimson Tide’s strength and conditioning coach.

As the assistant coach and strength conditioning coach for the Charlotte Hornets and the LSU Tigers, Cochran has previously worked for teams in the NBA and the SEC. After quitting drinking, he had previously taken a break from the Bulldogs program to help concentrate on his mental health.

Neither Kirby Smart nor Cochran, nor the institution, have released an official comment. However, it appears that the Bulldogs’ coordinator of special teams and strength conditioning will not be retained in the program. In his last leave of absence, Cochran rejoined the club a few months later, retaining his position as special teams coordinator but continuing to work in the weight room off the field.
