Wanogho practiced this week whereas Thuney did not. After a quadriceps injury destroyed his season, he returned to practice on January 24, but Kansas City has determined he won’t be added back to the active roster.
The only player from Auburn who is still playing for the Super Bowl LVIII teams is Wanogho. Wanogno’s injury will stop Auburn’s eight-year run of having a former student-athlete compete in the Super Bowl. In the Tigers’ history, this is the longest streak.

Garrett was the defensive line’s leader. There have been significant changes among Auburn’s defensive staff following King-Williams’ announcement as the defensive tackles coach.
Josh Aldridge will now coach the edge rushers after coaching the linebackers in 2023. Inside linebackers will report to D.J. Durkin, the defensive coordinator. Charles Kelly, the co-defensive coordinator, will oversee the safeties, while Wesley McGriff will oversee the cornerbacks.
Before spring practices and the 2024 season begin, Auburn’s staff is once again fully staffed. Any future alterations would result from the departure of an existing employee. This is Auburn’s entire staff as of February 9th.
