LOOK: A Buffalo Artist Creates A Bills Snow Sculpture In Honor Of Tyler Bass And Josh Allen

Following a devastating miss, Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass’s supporters are still supporting him.

Kicker Tyler Bass of the Buffalo Bills is coming off what is perhaps the worst moment of his short career—missing a field goal that may have tied the score late in a Divisional Round defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Since then, though, supporters have tried their hardest to encourage Bass through a trying moment. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been donated by many admirers to the Ten Lives Club, a cat rescue in Western New York that Bass used to work with. Then on Saturday, Bass and the Ten Lives Club received a present they won’t soon forget from a local artist.

Renowned snow sculptor Eric Jones dedicated much of his day outside Ten Lives Club to creating a sculpture inspired by one of Sunday’s most poignant moments: QB Josh Allen giving bass a much-needed embrace following the game.

“When Josh embraced Tyler I made that my social media photo and a lot of people commented we should make that into a sculpture, so I was like that’s the perfect way to end the Bills snow sculpture season,” Jones stated to reporters.

Fittingly, the sculpture also has a cat beside Bass, symbolizing the nonprofit organization with whom he collaborates closely.

Jones’ sculpture, which supposedly took five hours to form, attracted a sizable crowd when it was unveiled late on Saturday. It was the ideal opportunity for the artist of the hour to showcase what Buffalo is all about.

“This is a perfect opportunity to continue that even after they lose,” Jones stated. Win or lose, Bills supporters are lifelong supporters. Josh Allen’s hug of Tyler Bass following the failed field goal is a good example of the usual neighborliness that Queen City and Western New York exhibit.”
