JUST IN: Georgia key player found dead some hours ago…
OL Warren Ericson, formerly of Georgia, will return as a graduate assistant.
Warren Ericson, a former offensive lineman for Georgia, is returning to Athens after just one year away. Ericson, who started 14 games as a right guard for the Bulldogs that won the 2021 National Championship, studied as a graduate assistant at Wofford during his first year of absence from school. He will now work at Georgia in the same capacity.
Graduate assistant Jeremy King recently left Georgia to pursue a full-time position as an offensive line coach at Western Carolina. This is the second consecutive offseason that a support staff member has left Georgia to work as an offensive line coach somewhere else. Before the 2023 season, Eddie Gordon did the same thing at UAB, joining Trent Dilfer’s first-year staff in Birmingham.
In fiveIn fact, we make advantage of that in our presentations for hiring. I believe the number is somewhere between 26 and 24. There are now 26 past alumni working in our program in various capacities. That demonstrates Georgia’s openness to welcoming individuals back, as Hartley has stated on the chance to work at his former university. The University’s readiness to acknowledge that this is a 40-year decision rather than a four-year one. It has the potential to assist you in finding a career; I won’t only look after you throughout your stay in Athens. It also demonstrates to parents and recruits that many people wish to return to Athens after leaving. It’s an excellent area to raise a family. Construct
On Tuesday, Ladd McConkey had a fantastic first practice day at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. During one-on-one drills, the Georgia wide receiver showed off his quickness and shrewdness, catching the attention of at least one NFL head coach.
Here are a few social media video from McConkey’s Mobile show that you can watch.
It’s been difficult to determine McConkey’s draft status, but the fact that he’s making an impression in Mobile already is encouraging for him going forward. Field Yates of ESPN actually made a bold prediction ahead of time, identifying McConkey as one of the top performers at this week’s Senior Bowl.
Yates noted, “We will end the week discussing McConkey as a Round 1 prospect very seriously.” “The former Georgia standout recovered impressively from a back injury early in the 2023 season, and he is a route running fiend.” Although there are a lot of talented wide receivers in the class, McConkey is one of the top-32 players.
