REAPORT: Date and time of the NFC Championship game between the 49ers and Lions

Next week, the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers will square off in the NFC Championship Game with the possibility of a Super Bowl 58 meeting.

The 49ers have played four NFC Championship games since 2019, finishing 1-2 in the first three. The Lions, on the other hand, have only made two trips to the NFC Championship game; their only previous trip was in 1991, when they were defeated 41–10 by the Washington Redskins.

The two times the 49ers and Lions have met off in postseason history are in 1983, when the 49ers won 24-23, and in 1957, when the Lions won 31-27 en route to their final league title. The teams have not played each other since 2021.
