The World Snooker Tour has revealed that players who complete a 147 will receive an additional 20 points from the golden ball in the first-ever TV tournament in Saudi Arabia.
The tournament will take place from March 4-6 and will include seven-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan, 2019 winner Judd Trump, and current holder Luca Brecel.
In the upcoming weeks, the remaining seven players and the schedule will be verified.
The present regulations will apply to the games, however after a maximum break, a 23rd “Riyadh Season ball” pottable will be played.
At this moment, it’s unclear if the ball will stay on the table the entire time, whether striking it too soon would result in a penalty, or what a player will receive for potting it apart from bonus points in a game they have already won.
