Shocking news: Michigan coach found dead some hours ago…

A favorite to succeed Jim Harbaugh as Michigan football coach has emerged

It seems like everyone agrees on Jim Harbaugh’s successor as Michigan football coach going forward (2024 and beyond).

It finally happened, after several offseasons of speculation: Jim Harbaugh has left the Michigan football program and returned to the NFL, leaving the Wolverines on the search for a replacement just weeks after winning the national championship. And right off the bat, there appears to be a favorite to take the job.

Michigan is strongly leaning towards promoting offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore to the permanent head football coach position, according to insiders.

When the Big Ten barred Harbaugh from team activities due to the sign-stealing investigation, Moore, 37, led the Wolverines as an interim head coach from the sidelines during the final three games of the season, including victories against Penn State and Ohio State.

During that period and much earlier, Moore has fostered a significant sense of allegiance among Michigan athletes. Zak Zinter, an offensive lineman for the Wolverines, posted on X, the former Twitter, saying, “No interviews needed.” Papa Moore’s time has come.”

A statement from Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel read, “We are working quickly to hire the next head coach for the program and will do everything possible to keep this current staff and team together.” Harbaugh left the institution.
