On Thursday night in Cleveland, following a tackle, there was a terrifying moment.
Elijah Moore of the Browns was tackled from behind during a routine play late in the second quarter, but he fell awkwardly to the ground.
The receiver landed on his back after tumbling helmet-first onto the field.
Moore’s head moved back and forth as he lay on the ground, first giving the impression that he was bouncing off the blow, but then his arms started flailing.
Moore appeared to have no control over his arms, even though they were not moving violently, which prompted a teammate to call for the training staff.
The broadcast on Amazon Prime Video quickly switched up the camera angles.
Moore was soon accompanied by trainers as he was able to leave the field with some assistance. After the match, he left the game.
The “@GameInjuryDoc” on X, formerly Twitter, Dr. Evan Jeffries, claimed that Moore’s moves were “involuntary…from a brain injury.”
Prior to the injury, Moore had five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown against the New York Jets.
Amari Cooper, who had 265 receiving yards the previous week, was already sidelined for the Browns by a heel ailment.
As of the time of publication, Moore’s concussion was still under investigation, according to the Browns.
