BREAKING NEWS: NBA Insider Reveals Lakers Trade Deadline Plans

This season, Los Angeles wants to re-enter genuine postseason contention.

You probably have an idea of how uneven the Los Angeles Lakers have been from game to game if you’ve seen at least two of their games this season. It has been hard to watch since their season has been full of ups and downs.

The Lakers have regressed after making it to the Western Conference Finals the previous season. The front office now has to take care of the team’s requirements since the core that carried them to the playoffs may have reached its limit.

Over the summer, the front staff made maintaining continuity with their core from the previous season a priority, and it has turned out alright. However, this squad ought to be far superior to what it is at this point.

The Lakers are anticipated to be among the league’s most active clubs as the NBA trade deadline draws near. Despite being connected to a wide range of participants, it appears that they are not interested in completely dismantling the core.

The Lakers’ strategy was made public by Lakers Insider Jovan Buha of The Athletic as the trade deadline approached.

Despite their dismal first half of the season, the Lakers don’t want to just change the nucleus of the team. To address some of their obvious needs—3-point shooting, perimeter quickness, agility, and improved two-way play—they aim to recruit difference-makers.”

These things are always mutable, of course. The front office might feel more pressure to act more decisively if the Lakers kept losing. However, they might prefer to only add in the margins for the time being.

Los Angeles will need to be inventive in other ways because they don’t have many tradeable assets either. The front office’s performance before the deadline might determine the season’s outcome; if not, this legendary team will have yet another unsuccessful campaign.
