REAPORT: fans of the sons send a Message to Grayson Allen

Grayson Allen of the Phoenix Suns isn’t here to cheer on the boo birds.

Phoenix: Even though the Phoenix Suns defeated the Sacramento Kings 119-117 in the end, it was undoubtedly the outcome that everyone inside Footprint Center had hoped for.

The boo birds were heard several times over the night, and the Suns found themselves behind by 20 points on several occasions in the second half.

However, when the squad steadied themselves and kept chipping away at their deficit, the home fans came together in support of their players, which ultimately helped the Suns start a three-game winning run.

Grayson Allen talked extensively on the home audience, the spirit in the arena, and the necessity for cooperation between the team and the fans after the game.

“We played a lot of the game talking through it defensively and with some enthusiasm from the bench. We encountered some lolls offensively, but we were aware that we were beginning to identify potential assault targets. Energy had a big part in it, Allen added.

Grayson Allen spoke at length on the importance of collaboration between the squad and the supporters following the game, the home crowd, and the atmosphere in the arena.

“We talked our way through most of the game, both defensively and with some energy from the bench. We came across several lolls who were aggressive, but we knew we were starting to spot possible targets for an attack. Allen said that energy played a significant role.

“We hit all those shots in part because of that momentum, that energy from the fans, and that sense of being on that run. The atmosphere in the building and the intensity of the game made us seem fantastic, and we made all of them. One thing I really hope happens is that the audience and I collaborate a little bit more.”

Within the Suns community, there have been remarks regarding the energy levels of the audience and the lack of passion that was formerly observed during the team’s journey to the NBA Finals in 2021. Some people think that attending a Suns game is more about social standing than it is about fandom, and rising ticket costs don’t help support that theory.

However, it’s clear that when Phoenix puts a winning product on the court, the fans will follow. That was made evident last night in what was surely the loudest crowd of the season.

On Sunday, the Suns will entertain the Indiana Pacers at home.
