After a mid-play collision, it appeared as though former Celtics and current Raptors floor manager Dennis Schroder was going to square up with star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum during the Boston Celtics’ 105-96 victory against the Toronto Raptors on the road. However, Schroder’s look at Tatum would be an inaccurate representation of the continued friendship between the two players.

Following the final whistle, the German point guard handed Tatum his jersey, which was sharpie-signed with the words “Brodie for life — go get that chip this year; PS — top 5” (according to Noa Dalzell of the Celtics Blog).
Tatum discussed his old teammate with the media following the game, via NBC Sports Boston, h/t Dalzell. “Amazing person, fantastic teammate, and extremely competitive,” the
