Trevor Etienne has played two seasons with the Florida Gators, totaling 249 running attempts for 1,472 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and 14 rushing touchdowns, as well as 30 receptions for 238 yards (7.9 yards per catch) and one receiving touchdown. He has already demonstrated his ability to dominate in the SEC, so the learning curve for next year when he joins the Georgia Bulldogs will be less steep.

What does the addition of Trevor Etienne mean for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2024 and beyond?
While we do not know how long Trevor Etienne will remain with the Georgia Bulldogs because he is available for the 2025 NFL draft, it is possible that he will just be there for one season. However, even if such is the case, the program will have received a significant update.

With Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton, the Bulldogs’ top two running backs, presently seniors, they could be gone in 2024, and Trevor Etienne will step in and take their place. The Georgia Bulldogs boast one of the greatest offensive lines in the country, which could help Etienne’s stats.

The Bulldogs have been running the ball well, finishing the regular season ranked 41st in college football with 177.3 rushing yards per game. This will radically open up the passing game and provide another powerful option for Carson Beck, who has already expressed his intention to return for the 2024 season.

With the College Football Playoff growing to 12 teams beginning next season, this seasoned offense should be a guarantee for the playoffs. Etienne has proven to be a capable pass-catcher, which will benefit the program as tight end Brock Bowers will retire after the 2023 season.

This is a huge win for the Bulldogs and should be recognized as such. The addition of one of the finest running backs to one of the best offenses in the country makes the SEC even more intriguing.
