McVay was born on…

It seems that Kroenke made the right decision.

The Rams and Lions square off at Ford Field on Sunday in an NFC wild-card playoff game. Under McVay, the Rams have made five postseason visits, including two trips to the Super Bowl and one Super Bowl championship.

Pete Carroll, 72, who will no longer coach the Seattle Seahawks, was honored by McVay on Wednesday.

“Coach Carroll is an incredible talent,” McVay exclaimed. “Holy shit, will that be impressive if I’m sitting up here and can do that as long as he did.”

On Friday, McVay expressed his admiration for both Belichick, 71, and retired Alabama coach Nick Saban, 72.

McVay stated, “Coach Belichick has been so great to me. He’s done so much for this game, and it almost feels like he’s giving back to the game with the information that he shares and how he’s always treated me.” Although his defeat in Super Bowl LIII was disheartening, he appreciated the relationship the two of them had been able to build.

McVay anticipates seeing Belichick on the sidelines once more.

Given his great caliber of coaching, McVay stated, “I’d be surprised if he’s not still coaching.”

Does he expect the AFC will get it?

“I hope so,” he murmured.
