⭐ TOP RECRUIT: Demarcus Henry Down to Four — Set to Announce Friday

PHOENIX, AZ  — The most anticipated recruitment in college basketball is nearing its conclusion. Five-star small forward Demarcus Henry of Arizona Compass Prep has narrowed his list to four schools and will announce his decision this Friday.

Ranked as the No. 1 small forward in the Class of 2027 by 247Sports.com, the 6-foot-7 standout has eliminated BYU, Ohio State, Kansas, and UConn from his previous list. His final four consists of: Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, and Arkansas.

A Legendary Surprise in Lexington

Henry’s official visit to the University of Kentucky this past weekend delivered a moment he won’t soon forget. Wildcats head coach Mark Pope had a special guest waiting on the other end of a phone call.

“At the facility, Coach Pope gave me the phone and said somebody wanted to talk to me,” Henry shared in a video documenting the visit. “It was Michael Jordan. So I’m on the phone with Michael Jordan — he said he knew me. I’m geeked… that’s crazy that Michael Jordan knows my game. He said he was a big fan. I’m like, that’s crazy coming from Jordan. He said he wants to see me in a Kentucky Wildcats jersey. I’m like… that’s tough. That’s really tough.”

While Jordan is most famously associated with North Carolina, his connection to Kentucky runs deep through his close friendship with Coach Pope, making for one of the most unique recruiting pitches of the decade.

The Final Decision

Each remaining program offers a compelling path:

– 🏀 Kentucky — Elite development pathway, NBA pipeline, and now Jordan’s personal endorsement

– 🏀 Louisville — A program on the rise with immediate playing time available

– 🏀 North Carolina — Storied history and deep recruiting ties

– 🏀 Arkansas — High-octane system that maximizes versatile forwards

Henry is expected to make his announcement on Friday afternoon, with the entire college basketball world waiting to see where the nation’s top small forward will take his considerable talents.

Friday can’t come soon enough. 🔜
