The Little Rock (Ark.) Christian standout received his jersey as part of the Road to the Dome Series this week.

Little Rock, Arkansas Walker White, a Christian Top247 quarterback and Auburn commit, will participate in the All-American Bowl and received his jersey this week as part of the Road to the Dome Series.

“Man, it was awesome,” White exclaimed. “I knew it was real when I saw the No. 24 in the middle and All-American across the chest.” My sophomore year, I attended the National All-American Combine. It’s quite great to be able to play in the game now.”
The All-American Bowl, which will take place on January 6, is one of the most prestigious distinctions a high school prospect can achieve. Over 20,000 fans pack the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, and the game is aired nationwide on NBC.

“Being around the other recruits, I’ve seen or heard a couple of names that will be there,” White went on to say. “It’s fun to play football in this recruiting world and build relationships with all these different types of guys.” Forming relationships with them, getting to know them, playing on the same team as them, and being around those guys will be a lot of fun.

Christian McCaffrey, Trevor Lawrence, Micah Parsons, Derrick Henry, Stefon Diggs, Garrett Wilson, Marshon Lattimore, Keenan Allen, Budda Baker, DK Metcalf, Quenton Nelson, Tyron Smith, and Chase Young are among the NFL alumni for this game, as are Joe Thomas, Ezekiel Elliott, Adrian Peterson, Ndamukong Suh, and Heisman Trophy winners Tim Tebow.

“It shows that the road to being invited to this All-American Bowl and the road to the NFL isn’t that long.” In college, I vividly recall seeing Trevor Lawrence. It’s also cool. Look how fast it went for them. It is well known that if you are asked to this, you are invited for a reason. It’s fantastic that they were all invited to this game.

“It’s really special for sure.”

Freeze and the Tigers’ emphasis on in-state recruitment is paying dividends.
Hugh Freeze’s Auburn University continues to prioritize in-state recruiting.
Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers received a commitment from 4-star defensive tackle Antonio Coleman on Saturday, continuing a trend in which the team has placed a greater emphasis on in-state recruiting and attempting to keep the top players at home. Auburn’s top teams have always had a significant representation of homegrown talent over the years, and Freeze is determined to follow that blueprint to success on the Plains in the future.

On Wednesday, the Tigers signed nine of the state’s top 25 players for the 2024 class, with 5-star Ryan Williams remaining on the board and not likely to sign until his birthday on February 9. Three of those nine were listed as top ten prospects in the state. With the addition of Keldric Faulk last year, Freeze and his staff have produced four Top 10 players in Alabama in just 13 months.

From 2019 to 2022, Auburn signed only six Top 10 prospects from Alabama in the prior four recruiting classes. If you want to point to one of the reasons why the Tigers have struggled to keep up in terms of talent, start there.

But it gets even more complicated. Back to last year’s signing class, Auburn has now signed 13 of Alabama’s Top 25 players under Freeze. That’s a big number when you’re competing against Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, and others.

In the previous four recruiting classes, Auburn signed a total of 12 in-state athletes ranked in Alabama’s Top 25. That means the Tigers signed only 12 of the Top 100 players over a four-year period.

Those days are past now that Freeze and this crew are in charge of the show. They are not slowing down, as they already have three of Alabama’s top ten prospects committed for the 2025 class in Malik Autry, Coleman, and Jakaleb Faulk. Spencer and Jourdin Crawford

“I don’t know where we stand with the effort that was put into making our first class here a top-10 class, which was our goal.” I can’t keep up with it all. “Our goal was to have a top-10 class in year one and a top-five class in year two,” Freeze said. “And that is the way I think you start building a program that is able to stack itself upon each other and create a competitiveness among the roster that drives you to chase a standard every day that’s needed to win in this conference.”

Freeze stated that with a stacked crop of players in Alabama for 2025, the work is just getting begun. The objective

On National Signing Day, Auburn signed 18 high school and JUCO athletes, and the class is presently ranked No. 8 in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings. Three targets are remaining in the early signing period, including 5-star defensive lineman LJ McCray, who is considering Auburn, Florida, or Florida State, Top247 interior offensive lineman Coen Echols, and 3-star offensive tackle Favour Edwin. Ryan Williams, a 5-star wide receiver, is still a flip target for the February signing period.

Hugh Freeze welcomed 18 new members to his family on Wednesday. Learn about the newest Tigers:

NOTE: Despite being the staff’s first significant victory in 2024, it seemed impossible for Auburn to unseat Clemson in the recruitment of Walker White. Auburn had only recruited him for six weeks and received one visit, whereas Clemson’s coaching staff had a long history with him. But White made his decision while sitting in his hotel room at Clemson for his final visit and shocked the world when he chose the Auburn Tigers. Since then, he’s emerged as the clear class leader, just like you’d expect a quarterback to do.

NOTE: Perry Thompson, arguably Auburn’s biggest recruiting win of the cycle, had long been committed to Alabama until Hugh Freeze and his staff arrived on the scene. But the crew persevered and worked hard, which paid off at major Cat Weekend when the 5-star receiver reversed his commitment and assisted in throwing Freeze in the pool to celebrate the major occasion. Thompson became a vocal class leader and peer recruiter, which paid off with several others. Alabama attempted to intervene again late in the process, but Auburn resisted.

NOTE: Cam Coleman, a Top 10 prospect and one of the top wide receivers in the country, signed with Auburn on Wednesday over Texas A&M, Florida State, Georgia, and others. Coleman ranks near the top of the list of game changers in the 2024 class.

QUOTE: “When Cam made his commitment to another school, we immediately said, look, that’s fine, but we’re not going to waiver. We’re not going away, and we’re going to fight to the end. We’ll prove to you that we want you more, that we obviously feel like you’re a difference-maker here. We just were relentless with making sure he understood that. Obviously it helped that the other school had a coaching change. I’d like to think we were going to win it anyway, but I don’t know if that’s the case or not. I’m glad it worked out the way it did.”

QUOTE: “Having guys like that on the outside and in the slot who can make plays changes our offense.” I’ve seen it happen. When we initially started rebuilding Ole Miss, we enticed a guy named Laquan Treadwell into coming with us, much like we did with this first full class. It altered the way we spoke to games. I feel the same way about Cam, Perry, Malcolm, and Bryce.”
