Swindon Town Fan Campaign in Running for Prestigious Award

Swindon Town is in contention for a national accolade at the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) Awards 2025.

The club and TrustSTFC have been acknowledged for their “My Town My Shirt” campaign, securing a nomination in the “Fans for Diversity Award” category. This project celebrates the diversity within Swindon Town’s fanbase, featuring supporters from various backgrounds proudly wearing the club’s shirt across the town, highlighting the unity and shared identity of the club’s fanbase.

According to the club, the initiative showcases the “unifying power of football within our community.”

Earlier this year, Swindon Town and TrustSTFC were named the League Two winners of the Fans for Diversity Award in September.

Now, the club is set to compete against other nominees, including Blue Crescent (Manchester City), Blues 4 All (Birmingham City), London Bulls (Hereford), Proud Baggies (WBA), Punjabi O’s (Leyton Orient), and The Pythian Club (Various).

The FSA Awards 2025 ceremony will take place on Monday, December 1, in London, celebrating the best in football culture and community engagement.

Callum Knowles, head of media and communications at Swindon Town, expressed his pride: “We are incredibly proud to see My Town My Shirt recognised on a national stage. This campaign represents everything we stand for — unity, pride, and the idea that football is for everyone. We would like to thank every supporter who took part and helped share what it means to be part of our club.”

The FSA Awards 2025 will gather players, clubs, journalists, and supporters to honour outstanding contributions to football culture and community engagement.

The club’s previous triumph at the Fans for Diversity Award, announced in September, has raised expectations for the current nomination.

Swindon Town’s ongoing dedication to showcasing diversity and unity within their fanbase has garnered both regional and national acclaim.

The club emphasizes that football extends beyond the pitch, and initiatives like “My Town My Shirt” underscore football’s ability to unite communities from diverse backgrounds.

The upcoming FSA Awards 2025 offer Swindon Town another opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and potentially add another honour to their achievements.
